Ashes to Ashes finale, will include spoilers

Ok this is a little late but we only caught up with the finale at the weekend and i've only just had chance to write up a few thoughts. I realise lots of people have been discussing the Lost finale but I've not seen it yet but i will write something about that at a later time, as well as 24 which finishes soon (or indeed has finished in the US) - this will include spoilers!

So Ashes to ashes and we finally find out that the whole world is a kind of purgatory for police people who had issues when they were alive and Jim Keats was some sort of envoy for the devil.
like a lot of people i wasn't sure about Ashes to Ashes when it first started, it had big shoes to fill , The episodes were probably better than I remember them but they had too much to live up to. I really liked the finale and it answered all the questions from Life on Mars as well as Ashes to Ashes. Its a shame we didn't get to see John simm reprise his role as Sam Tyler even just for a minute at the end however as he had already "Passed on" it would have broken the story a bit if he could come back.
Apparently John Simm and Philip Glenister are going to be acting again together and i'm looking forward to seeing that, i think Dr Who really missed out not making John simm the Doctor, not that i don't like the matt Smith doctor he's doing a top job.
